Objective
To enjoy being retired.

Senior Storage Administrator - 1999 - 2008
- Participated in a Tier 2 storage evaluation, involving
the review of 7 storage environments.
- Performed in depth analysis of EMC Symmetrix performance
and Optimizer effectiveness, to improve performance of a Microsoft Exchange
environment.
- Responsible for design, implementation and growth of both
a production and a disaster recovery, dual fabric
heterogeneous Storage Area Networks (SAN) connecting HP-UX and Microsoft
operating systems to EMC Symmetrix and XIOtech Magnitude storage. (a total
of 4 fabrics)
- Responsible for life cycling several EMC Symmetrix
storage arrays including data and physical movement.
- Responsible for maintaining 7 x 24
availability of Storage Area Network (SAN) environment, including
monitoring for bottlenecks.
- Work with HP-UX, AIX, and Microsoft System Administrators (SA's),
Database Administrators (DBA's) and key users to develop storage
forecasts for 5 years.
- Work with UNIX SA's to configure disks
into HP-UX native and M.C. Service Guard clustered environments.
- Work with Microsoft SA's to configure disks to several Windows
2000 and Microsoft Clustered environments.
- Provide on call support and technical consultation to the
UNIX Administration team.
Senior System Administrator - Fulfillment
Team 1998 - 1999
- Lead System Administrator for the hardware
and software installation and configuration of a BaaN ERP
environment running on a MC Service Guard cluster.
- Provided HP-UX system administration support for the
installation and configuration of numerous BaaN IV and
BaaN ERP environments.
- Managed two EMC disk servers, purchasing and allocating
disks and coordinating maintenance with minimal impact to the customers.
System Administrator - Technical Currency
Team 1994 - 1997
- Provided technical integration skills to
the installation and configuration of HP OpenView, including integration
of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) traps generated by other
monitoring tools.
- Developed corporate wide web pages in Hyper Text Markup
Language (HTML), providing the Technical Currency Team corporate visibility.
- Refined my HP-UX and Sequent system administration skills by participating in
numerous trouble shooting and support situations.

I served as President or member of the Bayport Public Library Board
(an appointed public office) for 9 years until I reached my term limit.
I served as Chairman or member of the Board of Directors of North
Star Scouting Memorabilia, a non-profit corporation dedicated to the
acquisition, conservation and display of Scouting memorabilia.
I also enjoy sailing, bicycling and wood working.
